Job Title: Extrusion Machine Operator
Reports to: Production Supervisor/Manager
Summary:
Operate and maintain extrusion machines to produce high-quality products, ensuring efficiency, safety, and meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Setup and Operation:
– Set up and calibrate extrusion machines according to production requirements.
– Operate machines to produce products, monitoring temperature, pressure, and speed.
– Adjust machine settings to optimize production and product quality.
2. Quality Control:
– Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
– Identify and address quality issues, reporting to supervisors as needed.
3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
– Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating machines.
– Troubleshoot machine issues, identifying and resolving problems.
4. Safety and Housekeeping:
– Follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
– Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
– Work with production team members to optimize production processes.
– Communicate with supervisors and other departments to address production issues.
Requirements:
– 1-2 years of experience in extrusion machine operation or related field.
– High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
– Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
– Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and machinery.
– May require working at heights, in confined spaces, or with hazardous materials.
