Job Summary
The Project Manager Assistant (PMA) under the direction of the Chief Operation Officer (COO) provides assistance to project manager, they guide/manage a number of administration activities related to the overall production projects. A key component of the role is being a back-up to the project manager. The PM Assistant is engaged in a project during the pre-contract phase, where they will initiate the selection process along with an understanding of the critical tasks related to the project.
Responsibilities
Coordination and tracking of Critical task check-list related to construction projects
Include and maintain all project related documentation
Manage/coordinate selection process
Prepare and manage project schedules in collaboration with PMs
Coordinate project start-up and close-out related to the administration tasks
Submit, coordinate and track permits and inspections
Administer project change orders
Manage monthly labour plan
Manage client billing and tracking of allowances
Qualifications
Basic understanding of project management
Knowledge of basic administrative tasks such as data entry and filing
Familiarity with customer service practices
Proficiency in using Microsoft Suite or similar software
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Understanding of construction process would be preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
