310T Mechanic or Apprentice

Thunderbolt Contracting is currently seeking an experienced licensed mechanic or 310T apprentice to assist in repairing and maintaining our diverse fleet of heavy trucks and equipment. Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs etc. on all vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose, repair and service, braking systems, suspension systems, air systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, cab HVAC, steering components, drivelines, and more.
• Perform Ministry of Transportation vehicle inspections as per Ministry guidelines.
• Complete all necessary paperwork as required for repairs and inspections completed.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years experience as licensed mechanic preferred.
• Valid G driver’s license.
• In-depth knowledge of heavy trucks/equipment.
• Possess own set of mechanic’s basic tools.
• Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Candidates that are in 2nd or 3rd year apprenticeship program will also be considered.
