Dispatch Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatch Assistant to support our logistics and operations team. In this role, you will assist in coordinating the timely and efficient dispatch of goods, services, or personnel, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with excellent time management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in scheduling and dispatching drivers, vehicles, or service personnel to their destinations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.
Maintain accurate records of dispatched orders, delivery routes, and transportation schedules.
Monitor the status of dispatched orders and communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates or address any issues.
Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize routes and schedules for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure all documentation related to dispatch operations is completed accurately and filed promptly.
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to dispatch or delivery.
Support the dispatch team with administrative tasks, including data entry, report generation, and inventory management.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or transportation management are a plus.
Proven experience in a dispatch, logistics, or customer service role.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in using dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
A team player with a positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
Work Environment:

This position is typically office-based with regular hours; however, occasional overtime may be required to meet operational needs.
