Summary
The Pet Care Specialist is responsible for caring for pets with compassion. Pet Care Specialists provide various types of care to animals including feeding, monitoring, and socializing. In addition to caring for the pets, Pet Care Specialists are responsible for helping clean and maintain the facility.
Terms of Employment and Schedule
We are currently looking for help for permanent full-time help on the following schedule:
Thursday 12:00pm – 8 :00pm
Friday 12:00pm – 8 :00pm
Saturday 12:00pm – 8 :00pm
Sunday 12:00pm – 8 :00pm
Monday 12:00pm – 8 :00pm

Wage
$15-$20 an hour, depending on experience.
Job Duties
Responsible for supervising and taking care of pets.
Providing pets’ meals, medicine, fresh water, and appropriate bedding
General facility cleaning including vacuuming, mopping, dishes, laundry, and yard maintenance
Monitoring pet activities and behaviors and recording notes for pet profiles
Cleaning pet waste, indoor kennels and outdoor runs including pressure washing
Using the dog treadmill to run dogs. Bathing and brushing dogs
Interacting with clients checking-in and picking up pets, on email, and on the phone
Providing information about animals, such as behavior, well-being, and facility activities.
Learning about pet specialty retail products and ensuring inventory is stocked.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor / management.
Skills Requirements
High school diploma
Experience with animals is an asset

Attention to detail and ability to observe animal behaviors daily
Able to clean the facility to maintain our high standards
Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds
Ability to stand up to 8 hours
Operate basic computer software including Microsoft Office and kennel management software
Flexible schedule including nights/weekends/holiday
