Kenmore Aluminum Inc. has been in business since 1969. We supply and install PVC windows, entrance and patio doors, siding and soffit and fascia on existing homes – primarily, windows and doors. We are a small corporation and we run one crew of 2-4 employees at a time. We start our day from our location in Oxford Mills. We usually load up the supplies we require for the day, then we have a cube van and pickup truck which both are driven to the jobsite.

Job Description

– Full-time, Monday-Friday (occasional Saturdays) window/door/siding installer

– Meeting at our work location in Oxford Mills, Ontario is usually between 7:00 & 8:00am. Loading up the vehicles and driving one of the trucks to and from our location to the jobsite which can be located anywhere in the Ottawa area. The day ends usually by 5:00/6:00pm – but if the job needs to get finished – there may be some later evenings and Saturdays.

– Applicant would be required to remove existing windows, doors or siding and then install the new ones. Finishing the work usually involves installing new interior trim and exterior aluminum flashing.

– We work year-round. We will take exceptions when the weather is terribly cold or miserable.

– You will be paid by the hour and payday is each Friday.

Qualifications/Requirements

– Reliable – able to arrive on time and be available to work everyday except for acceptable unseen exceptions

– 1-plus years of experience in the construction industry, especially in the installation of windows, doors and siding

– Must have a clean G-Class driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

– Must be familiar with power tools of all kinds and have your own tool-belt and work boots

– Not afraid of heights

– Ability to lift 75 or more pounds

– Must be able to work independently – either in a team setting or alone

– Having a keen eye for detail is encouraged as well as neatness

– Respectful of the jobsite you are working on – it usually is someone’s home

– Familiar with the Ottawa area is an asset

– Quick to learn and ability to take criticism when necessary

Compensation

– Pay is dependent on experience and skill.
