ABOUT THE ROLE

Working as a part of the Facilities Maintenance team, this position is responsible for a variety of hands-on work including repairs, renovation, construction, and maintenance projects on Town and Public Service Commission facilities and structures. This is a one-year term position.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience with construction and maintenance is required.
  • Certification in a building-related trade (carpentry, electrical, plumber, etc.) is considered an asset.
  • A valid class 5 NS Divers License is required.
  • Knowledge of rough and finish carpentry or other related trades.
  • Knowledge of cost estimation.
  • Knowledge of the Building Code and other similar code and requirements is an asset.
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Term (1 year), full-time, non-union position
  • Salary: $46,289 – 60,176, commensurate with experience. The Town of Bridgewater offers a competitive benefits package and Flexible working options.
  • Regular hours – Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (35 hours per week).
