Position Title: PEACE Program Counsellor – Temporary Part Time. 27.25 hours per week
Classification: Children Who Witness Abuse Counsellor
Program: PEACE Program

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in a related /social service field. Two years recent related experience, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Employment offer is valid until current incumbent returns from leave of employment.

Skills & Knowledge: Ability to provide counselling, education and advocacy support to children age 3-18 who have witnessed domestic violence. Provide emotional and parenting support for parents regarding the impact on their children of witnessing violence. Develop and conduct psycho-educational support groups for children. Ability to operate a PC and related software.

Vehicle Use: You must have a valid BC Class 5 driver’s license.

Hourly Rate: $37.18-$48.04.
