Quality Control Technician

Are you looking for a role that combines hands-on work with technology? Do you enjoy working independently and managing your time effectively? We’re seeking a self-motivated and responsible Quality Control Technician to join our team!

Job Summary:

As our Quality Control Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our aggregates. Your responsibilities will include:

– Conducting sieve analysis in our certified onsite lab
– Operating drones to measure aggregate piles and inputting data into our software
– Managing paperwork, data entry, and equipment calibrations
– Collaborating with our team to complete other tasks as needed

Requirements:

– Ability to self-manage time and work independently
– Excellent communication skills (email and in-person)
– Passion for technology, including drones, computers, and software
– Physical ability to lift 60lbs and move/stand throughout the day
– Willingness to work long hours during peak season (8-12 hours/day)

Training and Certification:

– Prior knowledge of aggregates &/or drone operation is an asset, but not required
– We’ll provide in-house training for sieve analysis and drone operation
– Certification by Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories and Transport Canada is required (we’ll support you through the process)

Schedule:

– Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays during peak season
– 7am-5/7pm, In person, in Sundre – minimal travel to nearby pits.
-Peak season is May-October. With the option to take other jobs in the winter, extended leave or learn new skills within our company.
