Manager, Safety & Security

We are currently hiring for a Manager, Safety & Security. This regular opportunity, in the Regulatory Compliance Services Department, has full time hours.

As a Manager, Safety & Security, you will:

• develop and implement policies and programs to:
  • provide a safe, secure, and healthy environment for customers and employees.
  • achieve security operational objectives.
  • improve security and safety effectiveness.
  • respond to emergencies.
  • accomplish organization goals.

To do this job, you need to have:

• post-secondary in related field with professional certifications in the areas of occupational health and safety and utility operations.
• recognized security and safety accreditations such as:
  • Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) or
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)
  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) designation would be considered an asset.
• Seven (7) years of progressively related experience in safety, security, protection of assets, and/or occupational health and safety.
• a valid NS drivers’ license.
• working knowledge of ISO 45001 would be considered a benefit.
