ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF SPECIALIST II (BAND LEVEL 7)

(Contractual Position to July 31, 2025)

DUTIES

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for providing financial and administrative assistance in the Finance office of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.
  • Duties include performing a variety of administrative support activities; coordinating the receipt, review, and processing of a variety of purchasing, accounting, and human resource documents; liaising with respective administrative departments on policy issues; preparing accounting reports; reconciling and monitoring research grants, contracts and operating financial statements; maintaining comprehensive records of finances and accounts; identifying efficiencies and developing related policies; maintaining an internal procedures manual; preparing financial and analytical reports; preparing travel authorization forms, processing travel claims and travel statements for faculty, staff and students; and performing other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience (3-5 years) in administrative work; completion of most university coursework towards an undergraduate degree in business administration, public administration or organizational management; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Knowledge of University Policies and procedures, Banner Finance, and Microsoft Excel and Access is required.

SALARY $59,901 – $70,273 per annum (Non- Bargaining)
