This is a full-time role for a Legal Administrative Assistant at the Law Office of Richard Albert. As a Legal Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, drafting legal documents, communicating with clients, and organizing case files.

As the successful candidate, you have relevant education and experience in a similar role. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can put your strong multi-tasking skills to good use. You are meticulous with your work, have a keen eye for detail and are known for your high standards, especially regarding confidential matters and client service. You must be a self-starter, personable, highly motivated and willing to learn. You are seeking a role that will allow you to demonstrate and advance your administrative skills.

This role requires a high level of interaction with other individuals; being an effective communicator and having an outgoing personality are key strengths we are seeking. You must have strong computer literacy skills and excellent verbal and written skills.

This is an on-site role located in Rothesay, New Brunswick.

Receptionist Responsibilities:

Greet clients in a professional and respectful manner with a positive attitude.
Answer, screen and direct phone calls in a polite and professional manner.
Keep detailed and accurate records of client requests and of calls received.
Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks including and not limited to copying, faxing, preparing invoices, etc.
Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including a fax machine, a photocopy machine, scanner and a computer.
Schedule and prepare for meetings and manage Office365 calendar.
Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents.
Assist colleagues with administrative tasks.
Maintain reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times.
Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and couriers.
Receive, process and record client payments.
Perform a wide variety of tasks, which are confidential in nature.

Receptionist Requirements:

Prior experience as a administrative assistant or in a related field would be an asset.
High school diploma or equivalent education required.
Valid driver’s license.
Consistent and professional attire.
Strong client focus and a positive attitude.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to type 50-60 wpm minimum.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to remain flexible.
Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance.
Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.
Must be punctual with strong work attendance.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of legal terminology and processes would be an asset.
Qualifications in paralegal studies or related field
