Jump Recruitment Specialists has partnered with Bogart’s Jewellers in search of a full-time permanent Gemologist.

The Gemologist will display superior customer service skills, selling diamonds, gemstones and other jewellery.

Bogart’s Jewellers is a locally owned and operated jewellery store in Newfoundland. They have seven locations across Newfoundland to serve customers since 1992. They care about their customers and being a part of the special moments in their life.

The Job

• Responsible for the sale of diamonds, gemstones and other jewellery.
• Assist with jewellery appraisals
• Provide gem grades for quality, color, cut and clarity, which helps consumers compare individual gems
• Advise customers on which gems to consider based on their needs and budget.
• Create grading cards for diamonds and gemstones.
• Provide a unique and tailored customer service experience

Qualifications

• A Gemologist degree, a graduate diamonds degree or a GIA Graduate Gemologist. Must be able to grade diamonds, and coloured stones would be an asset.
• 1-3 years of previous experience in the jewellery industry
• Previous experience in a customer service role
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills are required
