Responsibilities:

– Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, street food, and fusion items, according to our recipes and standards.
– Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality and consistency.
– Manage the food truck kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, and plating.
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
– Assist in menu development and the creation of daily specials.
– Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing excellent customer service.
– Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
– Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.

Requirements:

– Proven experience as a cook, preferably with a focus on Indian cuisine.
– Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
– Excellent time management and organizational skills.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
– Food handler’s certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Experience working in a food truck or similar setting.
– Creativity and a passion for developing new recipes and dishes.
– Understanding of dietary restrictions and the ability to adapt recipes accordingly.
– Familiarity with modern Indian fusion cuisine.
