Elder Care Provider Needed in Hamilton, Ontario – $25.00/hr

Are you a patient, compassionate, and reliable elder care provider in Hamilton, Ontario?
My family is seeking a part-time, live-out caregiver to provide companionship and home care for my grandfather. He is 103 and hard-of-hearing. He enjoys poetry and talking about his memories (including WWII and coming to Canada as a Displaced Person in the 1950s).

He has PSWs supporting him for an hour in the morning and evening. They take care of bathing, dressing him, and light household tasks.

What we are looking for is someone to:
prepare meals/drinks/snacks, make sure he eats, shop for groceries or other necessary items, pick up medication and organize it, help him get up and get around as needed, keep the house clean, chat/socialize with him, and other tasks as needed. If you can help him type up his poetry translations that would be great too.

Hourly rate of $25.00. 3 hours on afternoons, 5-7 days a week, though we’re flexible and are open to discussing what kind of schedule would be ideal for the right candidate.
