Experienced Elder Care Provider Needed in Toronto, Ontario – $25

Our family in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a live out, part-time companion to provide home care and personal assistance for our elderly loved one, aunt, mother, sister. We are looking for someone who can offer minimal assistance with bathing, and food prep. Help her stabilize her walker while she lifts herself from sitting to standing; observe if she needs the nurse in more often for wound care; help to prepare her already prepared meals and tidy after, offer the odd tea and cake; she can eat herself and doesn’t like a lot of chit chat; she seems to want to tell you what to do, so if you initiate vaccuuming without checking, that will feel too controlling for her, she wants autonomy and control; she can still read and see Someone with a warm but not overly friendly demeanor, and a commitment to providing the highest level of care will be welcome You will be responsible for creating a safe environment for our loved one, This part-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25.0 and the opportunity to make a positive impact in someone’s life.
She has a companion 3 days a week currently and a few others mixed in but we would find it ideal to have someone 4 days – Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday from 11 to 3 (some flexibility)
