Registered Surgical Dental Assistant

Periodontal speciality clinic in west Calgary is seeking an experienced full-time dental assistant to join our team.
Requirements: Level II Registration
Friendly, personable, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, a team player.
Organized with a strong work ethic, and able to multitask and prioritize duties.
Comfortable and eager to work in a surgical environment.
Willing to learn and adapt as needed.
Duties include but not limited to:
Proficiency in communicating with patients.
Proficiency in note taking, typing with proper spelling and grammar, and completing clinical charting as direct.
Proficiency in taking intra-oral radiographs and photographs.
Proficiency in treatment room set-up and take-down.
Proficiency in instrument processing and sterilization according to current infection prevention and control requirements.
Minimum 2 years of patient-side experience.
Familiarity with Mac computers, digital radiography, digital intraoral scanning, digital photography, and surgical experience are all assets.
No evening or weekend work required.
