Shop Helper

We are a locally owned glass company that has been in business for over 50 years. We offer a range of services such as locksmithing, window repair and auto detailing. Currently, we are seeking a shop helper who would be trained to complete various tasks which include windshield replacement, auto detailing and some glazier work. The position is for 32 – 40 hours a week which includes minimal weekend and evening hours. Training is provided.

Responsibilities

• In this position, you will be responsible in helping our clients with the replacement of windshields and autoglass. this includes windshield replacement and repairing cracks.
• Auto detailing responsibilities would include cleaning vehicles according to the needs of our customers by performing detailed cleaning, washing and buffing to restore the appearance of the vehicle.
• As a glazier, you would be responsible for measuring, cutting and replacing various types of glass for home and business.

Qualifications

• Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
• Good computer skills
• Clean driving record
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work weekends
• Good with measurements and tape measure
• Ability to work well in a team setting
• Attention to detail
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending and standing for long periods of time
• Experience in windshield replacement, auto detailing or glazier work would be an asset, but not necessary.
