The General Labourer will be responsible at the beginning and end of the day for site prep/opening and clean-up / closing. Unloading/reloading of tools to work vehicles, unloading and organizing materials on job sites, and assisting an experienced team in order to keep projects moving forward.
Role & Responsibilities for Construction General Labourer:
• Carry out day to day demolition/building/general labour tasks as instructed by the supervisor
• Utilize a range of tools and equipment such jack hammers, drills, grinders, etc.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times
• Suspended access platform work at heights
• Mix, pour and spread materials;
• Load, unload and transport construction materials;
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps,
• Assist in framing, erecting walls and building roofs
Requirements for Construction General Labourer:
• Minimum of 2 years’ construction experience
• Physically able to work long hours (when needed), and able to handle the physical nature of commercial construction
• Team player who is also able to work independently.
• Safety boots & PPE mandatory
• Must be WHIMIS trained-(proof of certification)
• Punctual and reliable
• Strong knowledge of tools and how to use them safely and efficiently; constant awareness of and adherence to standard safety procedures
• Driver’s licence an asset
• Reliable self-motivated individual

Salary: $22.00 /hour
