Kitchen cooks

We are currently seeking 2 part time evening cooks to assist in delivering quality meals to our residents and to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

Duties
• Prepare quality meals according to the posted menu, following recipes and paying attention to appropriate portion control.
• Oversee and assist with the service of food, ensuring resident food preferences are respected.
• Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen, including cleaning dishes after food service.
• Ensure the maintenance of kitchen equipment and report any breakdown
• Adhere to cleaning schedules assigned
• Receive and stock all incoming supplies and the rotation of stock and perishables
• Must be familiar with the use of kitchen equipment
• Under the direction of the Kitchen Supervisor
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor and management

Qualifications

• Preference given to persons with previous experience
• Able to read and follow recipes and printed production guides, cleaning schedules, and logs
• Valid Canada Food Safety Certification
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Criminal Record Check
