Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cut meat products according to customer specifications
– Ensure proper handling and storage of meat products to maintain quality and freshness
– Package and label meat products for display and sale
– Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their meat selection and answering any questions they may have
– Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines
– Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the meat department
Requirements:
– Knowledge on how to break down a side of beef
– Previous experience in meat cutting or a related field is required
– Knowledge of different cuts of meat and proper preparation techniques
– Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
– Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate portioning and packaging of meat products
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
– Excellent customer service skills to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
– Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
