In this role, you will work closely with our Senior Director of Governance and Relations as one of the driving forces behind our brand’s success. Your creativity and strategic vision will amplify our message, connect with our new and legacy audience, and elevate our mission. What you’ll doThe Promotion and Design Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing creative promotional strategies, designing compelling marketing materials, and managing a variety of events from concept to completion. This role demands a high level of creativity, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye to detail.Practically speaking, You will: Develop and implement marketing/promotional strategies tailored to the unique needs of component societies Analyze market trends and member feedback to adjust strategies as needed Working with the ODA’s Brand and Design lead, ensure consistent branding across all Component Society communication channels in alignment with the established ODA brand identity and brand expression standards Design and produce engaging content for various Component Society platforms including email, websites, newsletters and promotional materials Optimize social media posts for component societies in conjunction with the ODA Specialist, Community Management Develop marketing materials to promote events organized by component societies and component society volunteer opportunities. Work with Director, Marketing and Membership to ensure strategies align. Assist with marketing and presentation materials for the annual component society leadership training session Monitor and report on the effectiveness of promotional strategies using analytics to inform future decisions Stay updated with latest trends in marketing and design Provide other assistance to component societies related to their events (e.g. registration, proof of attendance) Other duties as assigned Occasional overtime requiredYou’ll be a great fit for this position if you are:An excellent communicator – possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including impeccable grammar and spelling, along with the ability to compose professional correspondence.Creative – a knack for generating fresh promotional ideas and design concepts, and familiarity with the unique challenges and opportunities in nonprofit marketing.Forward thinking – Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and a dedication to excellent customer service, adept at influencing and taking direction from highly engaged volunteers lacking marketing or communications expertise, while working cooperatively in a team environment. What we offerThis is a full-time, hybrid position with some flexibility with daily work hours.
