POSITION: Food Service Worker
STATUS: Full-Time and Casual
JOB PURPOSE: MAINTAINS AND PROMOTES RESIDENTS WELL BEING by Assisting with the preparation and serving of food required to meet the nutritional needs of residents served in a pleasant and clean environment.

Villa Acadienne are long term care facilities that has adopted the Eden Alternative Philosophy of Care. We believe in a resident centered care approach and strive to make life for our resident’s worth living. We’re moving away from a medical model of care and transforming our home into a place where residents can continue to grow and live full lives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:

• Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Able to understand and speak French an asset.
• Be a graduate of, or willing to take a Food Handler’s Course.
• A good understanding of the elderly.
• Previous experience in kitchen/food service preferred.
• Able to work flexible hours (days, weekends, holidays).
