Company Operating Name: Quality Quick Serve Inc O/A A&W Position: Food Counter Attendant No# of Positions: 5 Terms of Employment: 2 Years Language Requirement(s): English Wage: $17.40 per hour Benefits Package (if applicable): Dental benefits, Group medical insurance benefits, Life insurance, Vision care Hours (each week): 32 Location of work: 4086 5th Avenue, Smithers BC V0J 2N0 Education: Not required, secondary school is an asset Work Experience: Experience is not required, training will be provided Job Duties: The Food Counter Attendant is responsible for taking customer orders, accepting various forms of payment, and serving the customers either at the food counter or table. The role also involves preparing, heating, and finishing cooked food items. As well, keeping all stations clean. The Food Counter Attendant does the following:use a cash register to take customer orders, accept payment and give changeanswer customer questions about menu items and serve customers at counterpreparing food such as sandwiches, hamburgers, deep fried sides, milkshakes, ice cream dishes and beverages, including coffee-type drinksclean, peel, slice and trim food items using manual and electric appliancesstock refrigerators, cupboards and salad barskeep records of the quantities of food used, or wastedclean and sanitize kitchen areas including, work surfaces, cupboards and storage areas, as well as dispose of kitchen garbageclear and clean tables, trays and chairshelp other workers who prepare or serve food and beverages.sweep and mop floors, and perform other duties to assist team membersbring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving/staging areasrefill condiments and other supplies at tables and in serving areasunpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards and storage areassort and remove garbage and wash garbage cansorderly unload trucks picking up or delivering food and supplies Job Requirements:Ability to deal well with a variety of people, team playerInitiative, good judgement, decision making and working well with authorityResponsible, reliable, honestPhysical DemandsStanding and walking for extended periods.Some heavy liftingAcceptable oral and written communication skillsAbility to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues Posted: May 2, 2024 How To Apply Please ensure that you are providing a current, relevant, resume with pertinent work experience and references.
