Job Description:Job Description The successful candidate will be scheduled between 32 – 40 hours per week, and must be available to work as early as 5am, as well as AM/PM, weekdays and weekends. This role is not suitable for studentsBistro Hours: Monday to Saturday: 5:00am-6:30pm Sunday: 6:00am-6:30pm BISTRO Team Leader (FOOD SERVICE) This is a very exciting opportunity as the Kamloops store has just recently undergone a massive renovation that not only increased the physical footprint of the store and the Bistro area but the successful candidate will be a part of the leadership team that is spearheading the change for the team members and customers! The Bistro Team Leader is responsible for helping lead the team through living and promoting our five Core Values as well as maintaining the day-to-day operations within the department. In our Bistro, we are passionately creating delicious food made with carefully chosen organic, local sustainable ingredients: fresh produce, ethically raised and grass-fed meat and dairy, and products without additives or preservatives. Our customers love our fresh juices and smoothies, gourmet sandwiches and wraps, salads, hearty soups, entrées, and an array of baked goods. And, of course, we offer tasty options for a variety of food preferences including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and paleo diets. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:A passion for organic food and natural medicine and love of the retail and grocery industryExcellent communication skillsOutstanding interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to set the standards for customer service in the Bistro departmentStrong problem solving, and decision-making skillsAn eye for merchandising and the ability to assist in managing inventoryMotivated by fast-paced environmentAbility and desire to lead by example and create a positive, supportive working environmentDesire to motivate and train team membersMinimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisor rolePrevious food service or restaurant experience considered an assetFood Safe CertifiedStrong organizational skills Able to delegate and direct the work of others while working as a teamKnowledge of the retail environment WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:Working with the Bistro Manager to ensure effective communication throughout the day on department prioritiesSet daily priorities and pace for the teamCoaches team members and helps drives selling and promotion within the department throughout the daySupport the Bistro Manager by actively working to meet operational standardsTrain and promote the standard of Customer Service expected by all bistro employeesChecklists are your jam!
