Propose modifications to existing policies, primarily within discipline or assigned functional group.ManagementDemonstrated experience managing project budget and schedule performanceProvides oversight and actively manages the project deliverables to ensure the expected technical quality is achieved.Monitors individual project status (budget, work plans, etc.) and takes the necessary action to mitigate variances.Assigns tasks to project team members and provides the support necessary to ensure successful outcomes.Selection and management of project sub-contractors / consultants.Supervision of staff working on a project. Preparation of project specifications and engineering documents. Providing a resolution of project related issues.Identifying, managing and processing of project change orders.Leading project QA / QC functions.Approval of Client Technical Invoices. Initiating project invoicing (markup of Project List report for accounting).Supports the marketing efforts of the President as needed. Supports the Sales Manager in the preparation of individual proposals.What you will need to be successful?Subject matter expert in all aspects of the project management, including, but not limited to, the following: establishing realistic working budgets, deliverable deadlines, budget tracking & analysis, prioritize and coordinate project schedules.Demonstrated experience in the preparation of project schedules (budget, work plans, etc.) and the ability to actively manage the schedule using a recognized project management software.Expected to have 10-15 years’ post-graduation experience, preferably in the maritime industry, and minimum 3 years demonstrated experience as a project manager.Proven understanding of engineering theories and principles is required. Contribute to improvement and development of engineering tools and processes.Has an advanced working knowledge of primary computer software programs necessary to complete Position and Role objectives (i.e. MS Office products, AutoCAD, etc.).Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures. Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
