Job Title: Journeyman – Instrumentation Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Fort McMurray, Oil Sands RegionLocation: Oil Sands SiteSchedule: 10 days on, 4 days off (transitioning to 6 on, 1 off)Hours: 12-13 hours/day, OT after 8 or 44 hours/weekCompensation: From $50/hr, DSP candidates $60/hr OTTravel: Flights from Edmonton & Calgary included, plus out-of-province travel allowance!Join Our Team at a Bustling Oil Sands Site! Key Responsibilities:Perform routine and preventative maintenance on instrumentation equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety compliance.Diagnose and repair faults in instrumentation systems and equipment.Calibrate and configure instrumentation devices to optimize performance.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project goals and operational requirements.Adhere to all safety protocols and standards, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of maintenance strategies and practices.Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices and less experienced team members, fostering an environment of learning and development. Qualifications:Certified Journeyman in Instrumentation and Control Technician (or equivalent).Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with direct experience in the oil sands industry highly preferred.Strong understanding of instrumentation maintenance practices, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting and maintenance.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.Commitment to teamwork, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as required.
