The Product Care team is committed to developing and managing sustainable recycling programs for lighting products, electronics, paint, pesticides, smoke alarms, household appliances and other products. About The PositionThe Operations Coordinator provides operational support for the various recycling programs in Canada and USA as well as recruits, liaises and coordinates collection sites throughout the provinces to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.Responsibilities:Collection System ManagementRecruitment Identify gaps in service and resources neededContact potential businesses to determine suitability and interest in partnering with Product Care as a collection site or collection eventEnsure adequate coverage of collection sites, including finding replacement collection sites and events in case of closuresCollection System Administration Administer collection site contracts, renewals, and terminationsDevelop administration packages for new collection sites and onboarding of new collection sites and collection eventsIdentify transport options, contacting carriers for rates and availability, complete cost analyses, negotiate ratesAnswer questions related to the program(s) while providing friendly and helpful customer serviceAssessment of each collection siteUpdate contact information and any changes related to the collection siteAdministrationData entry for bill of ladings, material check-in forms, processing forms, data tracking and penaltiesData reconciliation, correcting data entry errors to ensure information is reconciled with other program spreadsheets, monthly/quarterly/annual reportingDispatch & transportation arrangementApproval of invoices for program services and collection site statementsComplete reports and analyses and provide input and feedback on items for current and new programs, and for communications (such as signage, brochure distribution) Analyze business processes, such as available resources for transportation delivery routes, and production schedules to ensure program(s) operate efficiently and cost effectivelyFiling, ordering office supplies, checking and distributing faxes, arranging courier materials, and train new employees as required, etc.Provide training on data reconciliation, completing and analyzing reports, annual reporting requirements, etc. Write and Maintain SOP’s for these processes. What You BringThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience, and qualifications: Post-secondary education in administration or equivalent experience.Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Access and a working knowledge of databases.Clear and concise English language abilities, both written and verbal. Experience in a fast-paced role with the expectation of meeting deadlines.Strong understanding of collection system network and plant operations and supply chain best practices.Effective communications skills, with the ability to listen and persuade.Analytical thinking with very good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Takes initiative, strong work ethic, can execute original ideas.Provide continuous constructive feedback to improve the efficiency of the workplace.The ability to exercise good judgement when making decisions.A positive attitude and willingness to work with others as a team.Legally able to work in Canada full-time.
