Job Description:Job Description Job Summary A custom sign manufacturing company serving the Calgary area is looking for an experienced Designer / all-rounded Sign Maker for full time employment. The Sign Maker we seek is: a. A professional, self-motivated team player with great interpersonal skills who values delivering excellence. b. Friendly, customer-focussed and willing to assist customers with ideas and decisions on their signage requirements. You will be responsible for creating custom signs and vehicle wrap designs. This is initially a design role with some production responsibility which will transition to a production role with limited design responsibilities. The role will include setting priorities, preparing materials, organizing resources, ensuring high quality in the production of signs and graphics, meeting client needs, attracting new business and performing minor installs. The successful candidate will be expected to work odd hours to meet design timelines. Minimum job duties and position requirements · Design and Sign production · Create eye-catching designs · Create mock-ups and rough layouts for project approval · Answer phones, consult/interface with customers · Assist in maintaining company signage equipment · Accurately keep track of electronic and paper records related to jobs · Learn new technologies, skills and techniques to become a better sign making professional · Keeping a clean and safe environment · Contributing to a supportive and fun team atmosphere · Effective time management and resource planning Job Type / Category · Hourly – time availability (35 hours/week) Required Education, Skills and Qualifications Experience and Skills: · 7 years in a sign manufacturing – design and production · Large format digital printing · Color management and matching · Use of RIP software to direct printing and cutting · Utilizing plotter/cutter for precision cutting · Lamination of variety of substrates · Sign Installation · Design using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop · Ability to meet deadlines · Accurate spelling and grammar · Accurate measurements and related calculations – CNC router operation (a definite plus) – Channel letter and general fabrication skills ( a definite plus) Company Description A custom sign manufacturing company specializing in indoor signs and vehicle wraps, serving the Calgary area and surrounding.Company Description:A custom sign manufacturing company specializing in indoor signs and vehicle wraps, serving the Calgary area and surrounding.
