Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team, alongside committed individuals eager to learn the trade. As a Roofer, you will be tasked with preparing underlayment and installing asphalt shingles on renovation and new construction homes.
Duties:
– Installing asphalt shingles for residential reroofs and new constructions.
– Removing old roofing materials during renovation projects prior to installation of new materials.
– Utilizing both hand and power tools to complete roofing tasks.
– Engaging in heavy lifting and ladder climbing as necessary.
– Applying caulking and other sealants to safeguard roofs against water damage.
Skills:
The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
– Experience in roofing or a related field within construction.
– Competence in utilizing hand and power tools.
– Ability to interpret and work from blueprints.
– Strong physical endurance for heavy lifting and climbing.
– Familiarity with diverse roofing materials and techniques.
Additional assets for this role include a fall protection certificate, a valid driver’s license, and access to a vehicle.
