Jump Recruitment Specialists have partnered with Rubber Duck Car Wash in their search for a full-time permanent Car Wash Technician, based in New Brunswick.

THE ROLE:

The Car Wash Technician will perform repairs and maintenance at our Rubber Duck car wash locations to help ensure optimum efficiency and minimize down time of our washes and equipment. You will train with the Lead Technician, and will work collaboratively with other members of the team as well as outside contractors when required. Once established in the role, you will provide training to other members of the team on how to properly repair and maintain our car washes, and you will have the opportunity to move into a leadership role with the company managing the overall repairs and maintenance for our company.

START DATE: Currently recruiting for a successful applicant to start in May 2024.

LOCATION: The position will be based in New Brunswick, and will primarily involve repairs and maintenance at our New Brunswick locations, but will also involve travel to our locations in the rest of Atlantic Canada as required. Ideally you will live near Fredericton or Moncton, but other locations will be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your primary duty is to perform repairs and maintenance required at our car wash locations. This includes:

  • Repairing car wash equipment as needed.
  • Preventative maintenance.
  • Assisting with the installation of new car wash equipment.
  • Collaborating with outside contractors required to repair and install equipment from time to time.
  • Training with the Lead Technician and assisting in training of other team members on how to repair and maintain car wash equipment.
  • Listening effectively to understand and communicate in a business-like manner to customers, team members, and outside contractors.
  • You will also be required from time to time to do whatever it takes to help other team members and for the good of the business at Rubber Duck. The words “this isn’t part of my job description” cannot be part of your vocabulary if you are going to be successful in this role.
  • Your ability to carry out these duties and others that may be assigned from time to time will be considered as part of your annual performance assessment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience repairing and maintaining equipment and/or machinery (does not have to be specific to car washes)
  • Mechanically inclined, with general plumbing, electrical, and mechanical knowledge
  • Curious and eager to learn how to identify and repair issues relating to the proper functioning of car wash equipment
  • Enjoy working with your hands
  • Able to travel frequently our various car wash locations as the need arises
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written
  • Customer service orientation
  • Leadership experience
  • Able and interested in managing maintenance projects and other team members
  • Able to multi-task, organize, plan, and prioritize work
  • High standards of ethics, confidentiality, and reliability
  • Able to demonstrate good judgment, show initiative and be proactive
  • Able to gather and monitor information
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible to accommodate daily demands
  • Able to work collaboratively with team members
  • Valid driver’s license
