
Forklift Operator and Warehouse worker

One of the big names in the moving and storage industry is looking for a permanent Licensed Forklift Operator and warehouse worker to assist their growing business needs. Our client is located in the south end of Ottawa (near Walkley Road.) Our client is looking to hire an experienced warehouse worker who will be able to assist with various labour needs within the warehouse as well as other warehouses in the city.
The rate is 20 – 21/hr.
Shift: Day Shift – Weekday work, Monday – Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm
Location: Near Walkley Rd

Responsibilities
Operating a forklift
Loading and unloading of trucks
Arranging shipments in the warehouse
Shipping and Receiving
Picking orders
Packing orders and competing orders for shipment
Driving to the different warehouses and assisting with their warehouse needs as needed
Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility
Qualifications
Must have a valid forklift license
Must have experience working in a warehouse and operating a forklift
Must be comfortable with physical labor including consistent lifting, standing for long periods, and constant movement
Demonstrates great health and safety understanding
Driven and is able to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment
