The Randstad Healthcare team is currently supporting the active recruitment process for an entry-level Medical Device Sales Representative covering Southwestern Ontario & the western part of the GTA. We are seeking a candidate with a passion for healthcare and a drive for sales to join the team of a multi-national manufacturer and distributor of medical laser devices and help to develop their business in the Ontario region.

This Sales Representative will be responsible for leveraging an existing client network and building new client relationships in collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager to increase sales of the company’s portfolio of products in both clinical and related business settings. Sales visits, in-service presentations, social media promotion and the creation and send-out of marketing materials and related activities will all be tools used by this Sales Representative in order to help drive new business. Advantages
This permanent career opportunity involves full-time hours through the week with some schedule flexibility, but with the expectation that this representative would be able to attend meetings during regular business hours at client locations in addition to remote meetings when the opportunity arises. The representative will be able to work on a fully remote basis from their home with no obligation to go into an office, but will be expected to travel within the region as necessary in order to support sales activity.

This role offers a competitive base salary plus a 20% share of the commission on total sales in the region (the advertised salary range indicates the estimated potential total earnings for a first-year sales representative). There are also comprehensive benefits offered, paid vacation, a monthly vehicle allowance, spending account for business costs, phone and internet allowance and reimbursement for gas expenditures . All elements of the compensation and benefits package will be discussed in confidence between the hiring manager and the successful candidate.

A comprehensive training program will be provided by the company as a part of the successful candidate’s onboarding process, and they will work closely with the Senior Sales Manager in order to develop their sales skills and continue to grow within their role.

This is a direct-hire, permanent career opportunity, meaning the successful candidate will be on our client’s payroll from day one.

Responsibilities
– Becoming an expert on the company’s product offerings and their benefits to be able to effectively communicate their advantages and conduct sales
– Engaging with healthcare providers, business owners and other contacts to build up the sales network and develop client relationships
– Responsible for completing a specific volume of activity (calls, visits, etc.) to attain targets/goals and communicating regularly with various teams internally and conducting regular business reviews with the Senior Sales Manager
– Maintaining information in a CRM database
– Other duties as may be required to support your success

Qualifications
– An ideal candidate has experience in sales of medical devices, laser or automation products or experience in a business development or lead generation role
– Education: College or university education or equivalent work experience (ideally in business or a science/healthcare-related field; new grads welcome)
– All candidates most own or have unlimited access to a reliable vehicle and be comfortable driving the distances required to cover the entirety of their sales territory, including occasional overnight stays.
– Candidates must be technologically-savvy and comfortable in discussing technical elements of the company’s products to prospective clients
– Access to a functional home office, reliable internet and possession of a functional cell phone and computer is required
– Outstanding relationship-building skills and interpersonal skills
– Organized, with effective sales planning skills and the drive and passion to persevere to support sales
– Strong written, verbal and computer skills are required (Microsoft Office Suite)
– Positive outlook with a strong work ethic required
– Deadline-oriented and strong prioritization skills a must
