Our client, a global renowned IT company (An American multinational company, specializing in information technology services and consulting worldwide; A Fortune Global 500 company), End Client: One of the Big 6 Banks in Canada is looking for a Cloud Developer with below skillsets:

Position Title: Cloud Developer
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 06 Months long Contract (with possibilities of extension) 

Location: This role is based in Downtown, Toronto / GTA, ON (Hybrid role, 3 days / week mandatory work from office)

Start Date: Beginning of December 2024   
 

Pay Rate: 60$ – 70$ Incorporated HST

OR

40$ – 50$ on T4

(Depending on years’ of experience and skillset)

 
Job Description (Must – have Skills):
 
We are looking for a Cloud Developer with below skillsets:

  • 8 – 10 years overall relevant experience
  • Canadian Banking Experience (nice to have)

The following skill set will be required to support GAMX cloud services:
 

  • Proficiency in AWS cloud computing platform.
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience with various AWS services such as:
  • Compute: EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS
  • Storage : S3, EBS, EFS
  • Database : RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora
  • Networking : VPC, Route 53, CloudFront
  • Security :  IAM, Security Groups, KMS
  • Monitoring: CloudWatch, CloudTrail 
  • Programming Languages – Proficiency in languages commonly used in cloud development:
  • Python
  • Node.js/Typescript
  • JavaScript
  • Java
  • Spring Boot
  • Flask
  • Containerization and Orchestration
  • Experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Understanding how to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications on AWS using services like Amazon ECS or Amazon EKS
  • DevOps Practices
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CDK and CloudFormation
  • Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or AWS CodePipeline 
  • Automation Tools
  • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting and Query languages like Bash, PowerShell, and SQL
  • AWS CLI for automating repetitive tasks, infrastructure provisioning, and infrastructure. 
  • Networking and Security
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including VPC, Subnets, routing.
  • Understanding of security best practices for securing cloud infrastructure,  data encryption, and compliance standards 
  • Scalability and Performance Optimization
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization of applications running on AWS.
  • Troubleshooting and Debugging
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Ability to debug code and identify performance bottlenecks in cloud-based applications and services.
  • Monitoring and Logging
  • Proficiency in setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail and third-party monitoring tools.
