Our client in the logistics industry is seeking a Dispatcher to join their team. As a Dispatcher, you will be part of the warehouse team supporting various tasks and duties.The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of vehicles, managing schedules, and ensuring the smooth execution of daily operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Title: Dispatcher
Location: Mississauga, ON
Hourly Rate: $23.00 per hour
Shift Timing: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and dispatch drivers and vehicles based on delivery schedules and client requirements.
  • Monitor traffic conditions and adjust routes to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, resolve issues, and ensure all safety and operational standards are followed.
  • Maintain accurate records of driver schedules, deliveries, and vehicle logs.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to confirm deliveries and resolve any service issues.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are well-maintained and ready for operation.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of daily dispatch reports and other administrative tasks as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a dispatch or logistics coordination role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with an ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using dispatch software, Microsoft Office, and other office tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
