Heavy Duty Maintenance Technician

SFX Transport (Formerly Seafood Express) is recruiting a Heavy Duty Maintenance Technician to join our team! If you have 2-5 years’ experience, we would love to hear from you!

• This is a full-time permanent position. Our technicians can expect to work 40hrs weekly with the occasional over time, work can be off-site and traveling to remote locations from time to time.
• Our technicians troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems, perform inspections and routine maintenance, repair and adjust mechanical components as well as ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
• Work with late model power units (2017 and newer)
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering and fuel, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Inspect motors in operation, perform road tests, or use computerized diagnostic devices to diagnose and isolate faults and determine whether to repair or replace components
• Performing such duties on equipment such as oil changes, alignments, tune up, tire changes, daily logs
• Performing incidental welding operations and body work
• Red Seal truck and transport mechanic certification
• Highschool diploma or GED
• Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
• Knowledge of truck/trailers
• Knowledge of reefer/APU
• Working in a long-haul transportation environment
