We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Flatbed Truck Driver to join our team, starting trips from Bolton, ON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods securely using flatbed or rolltite trailers across North America (Mid West), ensuring the safe and efficient handling of freight while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, experience in handling flatbed loads, and the ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.

Duties:

– Operate from Bolton, ON to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner, including securing loads using appropriate tarps, straps, and other equipment.

– Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including load securing devices, to ensure safety and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

– Safely load and unload freight using equipment such as straps, winches, or chains, when necessary, and ensure proper weight distribution.

– Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logbooks, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or maintenance issues.

– Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or any issues related to cargo.

– Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation, safety, and load securing for flatbed trailers.

– Follow all safety protocols for loading, securing, and transporting flatbed freight to ensure the cargo and vehicle’s safety.

Experience:

– Proven minimum one year experience in commercial flatbed driving with a valid AZ license .

– Clean driving record is mandatory.

– Ability to cross the border between Canada and the U.S. is required.

– Expertise in load securing techniques (tarps, chains, straps) for flatbed trailers.

– Knowledge of freight handling procedures, including weight distribution and load safety regulations.
