Specific responsibilities may include:

1) Taking customer orders and operating the POS system
2) Assembling food orders and serving customers
3) Alerting kitchen staff to shortages or special orders
4) Operating drink-dispensing machines and preparing beverages
5) Receiving payments and providing accurate change
6) Maintaining clean and sanitary dining and work areas
6) Operating cooking equipment, such as grills and deep fryers
7) Ensuring food meets quality and quantity standards
8) Preparing and cooking food based on customer orders
