Caretaker Wanted

Thunder Bay Rooming House is located at 245 Pearl Street, Thunder Bay in the heart of downtown Port Aurthur, and has been serving the community as a housing solution for nearly 40 years.The role of the Property Manager is an on-site position that comes with a no-cost 1-bedroom apartment.Qualifications:1. Minimum 5 years of property management experience. (preferences will be given to those with Rooming or Lodging House experience).2. Skilled Trade Experience – general knowledge and capability with minor repairs and maintenance. (preference will be given to those with a skilled trades certificate)3. A confident individual with excellent communication skills, and the ability to address both internal tenant needs and external interactions with various community organizations, contractors, and services.
Position Requirements:
1. Safety and Security of the building
2. Minor Repairs and Maintenance
3. Daily Cleaning
4. Showing Rooms to prospective tenants.
Compensation:
1. A wage of $1500 monthly 1 bedroom apartment including utilities.
2. Vacation Pay will be paid at 4% per calendar year
