Hiring Cable Technician for London and SW Ontario

Hello, we are hiring a part time subcontract based helper for a low voltage cabling company.

POSITION AVAILABLE STARTING NEXT WEEK

The position will include 1-5 days of work a week and includes work in different cities such as Waterloo, Cambridge, London, Hamilton and etc. Having a vehicle is a big asset but if you’re in London, pickup can be arranged for travel outside of London for the day in the company vehicle if work is outside of London.

Expected pay: $18-27/hour, one way travel is covered, lunch is covered (pay frequency can be adjusted from once a week to once a month, to be discussed).

Job description:
-Using ladders and/or lifts to pull cables in warehouses, offices, construction sites and etc.
-Using basic tools such as impact, drill, cutters, pliers, etc.
-Using specific tools such as fish/glow rods, fish tape, termination tools, etc.
-Installing devices such as cameras, door access devices, network infrastructure devices(racks, jacks, panels), etc.

YOU WILL BE TRAINED ON THE JOB this work is easy enough to grasp so don’t be intimidated!

What you ideally need to have:
-Working at Heights – required
-WHIMS – required
-Safety Boots and hard hat – required
-Criminal Background Check – required
-Scissor Lift license (not required but is an asset)
-HST number from the CRA (easy to get from the CRA) – required
-Vehicle(not required but a big asset)
-Clean and quality workmanship
-Patience and desire to learn the job
-Desire to work in a non stress environment

Tools will be provided so you don’t need your own tools.
