Machinist/Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Machinist and Field Service Technician to join our team. This hybrid role involves operating precision machinery in our shop to machine and fabricate components, as well as travelling to customer locations to service, maintain, and repair industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong machining skills and be comfortable performing on-site repairs and maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to machine, fabricate, repair or modify parts.
Read and interpret CAD and technical drawings to create precision components.
Ensure the quality of machined parts through measurement and inspection.
Travel to client sites to install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery.
Perform routine maintenance and preventative service on mechanical systems.
Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
Collaborate with customers to provide on-site technical support and training.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proficiency in operating manual CNC machines.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
2years experience in machining and/or industrial equipment repair.
Valid Driver’s License for travel to job sites.
Work Environment:
Split between machine shop work and field service travel (eg., 80% in shop 20% on-site).
Ability to lift heavy parts and work in industrial environments.
