Looking for afternoon care for two awesome school-aged kids!

We’re looking for someone to help take care of our amazing 7- and 9-year-old kids after school on weekdays.
Hours:
– 3:00 – 5:00 or 5:30… Monday – Thursday
– 12:30 – …… Fridays
– we are ideally looking for someone who is available 3-5 days a week and we’re pretty flexible on which days 🙂

Requirements:
– school pick up (on foot if it’s nice out, or in a vehicle if the weather is poor – either your vehicle or ours is fine)
– homework help
– outside time (bike rides, dog walks, park time, etc)
– light meal prep/getting dinner started (we would have dinner planned ahead of time)

Details:
Both parents currently work from home, but we’re finding it difficult to pick up the kids and keep them occupied in the afternoons while also being able to focus on work and having dinner ready before the kids’ evening activities start.

School gets out at 3:00pm and is 2.5km from our home. We’d ask you to pick up the kids at 3:00 (either by foot, in your vehicle, or in ours, so a drivers license is required), bring them home, help with homework, take them outside, and hopefully help get dinner started. Most days we would ask you to stay until 5:00 or 5:30.

School ends at 12:30 on Fridays, so there’s an additional option of longer hours on Fridays.

We have a mid-sized, super loveable sheepadoodle dog as well, so candidates must be comfortable around animals.

– we’re looking to hire asap
– we’ll want to meet you for an interview first, to make sure there’s a good fit from both sides
– being able to provide references is definitely an asset!
