Job Summary:

We are seeking 2 dedicated and skilled wheel loader snow plow operators to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal operations during winter months. This role requires a strong understanding of operating heavy machinery. Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance and repairs on snow plowing equipment is an asset. The operator will play a key role in maintaining safe site conditions for a variety of commercial and institutional locations throughout Thunder Bay.

With an emphasis on an organized and team oriented work environment, while utilizing modern and well maintained equipment, our operators can look forward to working within the company to maintain safe conditions for the citizens of Thunder Bay.

If selected for the role, you will be operating a 2024 Wacker Neuson WL52 wheel loader, equipped with a Reactor AMI 4-in-1 snow wing blade. Loading of dump trucks for off-site snow removal will utilize a standard loader bucket.

Duties:

– Operate wheel loader equipment to clear snow and ice from parking areas
– Safely drive equipment on roadways for site to site travel
– Perform pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality
– Collaborate with team members to efficiently manage snow removal routes and schedules
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies while performing all duties

Experience/Requirements:

– Previous experience operating heavy machinery or snow plow vehicles is a requirement, with a minimum standard of 2-years
– Valid class G license with a generally clean drivers abstract
– Reliable transportation to and from work
– Mechanical knowledge is an asset for this role
– Ability to work in adverse weather conditions

Pay rate starts at $32.00 per hour
