1. Job Purpose
The Industrial Mechanic Millwright is responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment. This role ensures that mechanical systems are operational, maintaining high standards of efficiency, safety, and quality.

Context: This role involves maintaining a diverse range of mechanical equipment within a manufacturing environment.
Major Challenges:
1. Diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues under tight deadlines.
2. Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations while maintaining high operational standards.

4. Principal Accountabilities
1. Troubleshoot and Repair
o Supporting Actions/Tasks: Maintain, service, inspect, check, monitor, calibrate, test, upgrade, relocate, recondition, lubricate, fabricate, fit-weld, replace, modify, re-build, install, and repair mechanical equipment.
o % of Time: 40%
2. Purchase Recommendations
o Supporting Actions/Tasks: Recommend the purchase of mechanical equipment/parts and modifications to equipment and procedures to support continuous improvement.
o % of Time: 30%
3. Administrative
o Supporting Actions/Tasks: Prepare and maintain mechanical reports and documentation, participate in mechanical-related programs, and improve self-productivity and team spirit.
o % of Time: 20%
4. Other
o Supporting Actions/Tasks: Perform duties safely and efficiently, provide back-up and call-in services, and undertake additional relevant duties as required.
o % of Time: 10%

Position Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• 12 hour continental shifts switching between nights and days every 2 weeks.
• Most of the work (80-90%) is outside to the nature temperatures – cold in winter, hot in summer
• 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a manufacturing or continuous process environment is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure.
• Team-oriented with a commitment to safety and environmental standards.
Education & Experience:
• Industrial Mechanic Millwright recognized by the Ontario College of Trades.
• Industrial Maintenance Technician, G1 or G2 Certificate is considered an asset.
Miscellaneous Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform physical labor.
• May involve travel to different locations or work in various environmental conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a similar role.
