Construction Foremen/women and estimator

We are looking for a highly skilled Construction Foreman and Estimator on a contractual, on-call basis to manage and oversee construction, renovation, and landscaping projects as needed. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in residential and commercial construction, the ability to estimate and provide accurate quotes, and experience in operating machinery such as excavators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage on-site construction and renovation projects on a per-job basis, ensuring work is completed on schedule and to high standards.
• Provide detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment for each project.
• Source and track materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely procurement.
• Operate construction machinery, such as excavators, when necessary (excavator experience is a plus).
• Assist in landscaping projects, including hardscaping and planting, as required.
• Communicate directly with clients to discuss project details and provide accurate quotes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Lead and supervise a team of workers on-site for the duration of the project.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, renovation, and landscaping.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices.
• Proven ability to estimate and quote projects accurately.
• Experience operating construction machinery, particularly excavators, is an asset.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work in various weather conditions.

Job Type: On-call, contract-based, per project.

Compensation: Competitive and based on experience and project scope.
