Casual Superintendent Wanted

Experienced superintendent wanted part time in North York near Jane and Finch. This a casual contract position. Must have experience porting garbage containers. $22 per hour.

Job Description:
Your position as a Superintendent will be to carry out a variety tasks related to the maintenance of an apartment buildings within your shift. This includes the interior and exterior of residential condominium/apartment buildings and common areas.

Position Responsibilities:
• Work on required tasks as assigned on schedule
• Adhere to company policy for uniform dress and customer interactions
• Professionally provide weekly work completion reports
• Complete ongoing building interior and parking garage painting project
• Janitorial cleaning may be required
• Punctuality and daily attendance mandatory

The day to day
• Power wash garbage rooms and bins
• Port garbage bins to garbage dock for collection twice per week
• Clear garbage chutes
• Collect debris from parking lot and exterior courtyard
• Replace light bulbs
• Patrol property and report vandalism
• Monitor interior and exterior cleanliness
• Check elevator is in good working order
• Salt and shovel walkways, entrances and garbage dock
• Monitor snow management supplies
• Cut and trim grass, water planters as needed
• Utilize tractor/riding mower as needed
• Monitor gas, grass seeds, fertilizer, and compost levels
• Move unwanted garbage and furniture to garbage dock
• Minor repair and maintenance
• Garbage day maintenance
• Meet with contractors onsite for building repairs
• Building interior painting and underground parking lot (ongoing project)
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
• Authorized to work in Canada
• Must be a resident of Toronto or GTA
• Handyman or superintendent experience required
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literate
• Able to work independently
• Valid G driver’s license, clean driving record and fully insured
• Must have clean criminal record and pass background check
• Ability to lift 80 pounds or more
• Have ability to read signs, read and write in English
