Electronic Retro Console Repairs & Computer / Internet related

Hello,

The main job is to Repair Retro Gaming Consoles, mainly right now, 3DS Series Consoles and also doing software upgrades on the consoles.

Pay is $16.5 / Hour, 4 hours a day, 5x a week, Cash.

I will provide training on how to do it. I give tutorials/lessons for everything, so I don’t expect you to know everything immediately whether the repairs on the hardware or software. However, if you have exact experience with our hardware/software then great! 🙂

With that being said we prefer someone who enjoys repairing / tinkering with electronics & apps.

You have some experience with repairing/tinkering with electronics (computers, gaming consoles, raspberry pi, handheld consoles, appliances, modifications).

You have some experience with tinkering/repairing with apps (programming, wordpress, app development, minecraft, unity, modifications, website building).
You have some experience with social media (posting, understand algorithms, tags, creating content)

You are attentive, you have the ability to work quietly when needed, and have effective communication skills in specific contexts.

You have some experience in finding instructions on the internet to resolve a problem/understand something, especially an electronic device hardware/software problem. Like you know how to use Google and/or Github and/or Reddit and/or Youtube, and/or Whatever else to fix a problem, or to understand something.

Examples:

Like you watched a youtube video to build a shopify store? Great.
You watched a youtube video to learn Final Cut Pro? Great.
You watched a youtube video on how to repair your a certain computer issue? Great.

You learn how to change a tire? That’s fine.

Please note, when I mean “Experience”, Personal is fine too. Like if you built a website using square let me know, Instagram page? Yeah, that too. Anything remotely related to the above. A neopets store… Yeah, that too. 🙂

So Duties:
-Diagnose and repair handheld consoles, right now 3DS, there will be other consoles later on. Tutorials/lessons/Shadowing will be provided.
-Perform software troubleshooting/updates on handheld consoles, there will be other consoles later on. Tutorials/lessons/Shadowing will be provided.

– Replace damaged components and perform hardware repairs using hand tools

– Conduct thorough testing to ensure proper functionality after repairs

-Other general office side tasks to do (packaging items, responding to customers, organizing stock, etc.)

– Provide excellent customer service and communicate repair options and timelines
Experience:

– Previous experience in electronics repair or a related field is preferred (Personal is fine…)
– Familiarity with schematics, technical documentation and/or using youtube/internet/google to resolve the issue.
– Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing handheld consoles, and other retro gaming consoles
– Knowledge of operating systems and software troubleshooting
– Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
