Barrhaven Elderly caregiver PSW needed – available as of Aug 25

No agencies please. Ottawa residents only. Still available as of Aug 25 2024 – We are a family team looking for a part-time personal support worker (PSW) to help us care for an elderly grandparent at his private home in Barrhaven. Duties of this position include household chores like laundry and dishes, warming up and serving meals dropped off by family, assisting with showers, and helping them with reminders to go to bed and brush their teeth, etc.

Additional info:
-Part time positions are available at $27-$29 per hour based on experience. No full time positions are available.
-Experience in handling persons with dementia is an asset
-Knowledge of either Cantonese or Mandarin is an asset. The elderly person does not speak English, however Anne (their daughter and primary caretaker) will be available to provide translations.
-The elderly person is double-vaccinated
