Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting flooring materials, equipment, and supplies to various job sites and locations in a safe and timely manner. The driver will play a crucial role in ensuring our products are delivered efficiently, supporting the smooth operation of our business.
Responsibilities
– Safely operate company vehicles to transport flooring materials, tools, and equipment to job sites and customer locations.
– Load and unload cargo, including heavy and oversized flooring materials, following safety procedures and ensuring no damage occurs during transit.
– Plan and optimize delivery routes to meet tight delivery schedules and minimize delays.
– Assist with the handling and delivery of specialty flooring materials that require extra care.
– Perform regular vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs promptly, and conducting basic upkeep to ensure vehicles are in top condition.
– Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance documentation.
– Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, customers, and the operations team to ensure smooth delivery processes.
– Provide excellent customer service by delivering materials on time and assisting with unloading as needed.
Requirements
– Previous commercial driving experience (minimum 1 year), especially in transporting building materials, is preferred.
– Knowledge of freight handling procedures, particularly for heavy and oversized items.
– Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to learn, with a focus on safely moving flooring materials.
– Basic automotive repair skills are a plus to handle minor vehicle issues on the go.
– Experience with heavy equipment operation is advantageous, particularly in construction or flooring environments.
– Strong attention to detail, especially in following delivery instructions and handling materials safely.
– Physically fit and capable of performing tasks beyond driving.
– A valid skid steer/bobcat certificate is preferred. (Certification)
