CASHIER/SERVER – RETAIL FOOD SERVICE

Cumbrae’s Bayview is a butcher shop/retail food store. We are hiring for front of house.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

– serve and assist customers – resolve customer complaints in a professional manner
– use cash register/pos system – issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
– take online orders and fulfill to completion
– package various foods (fresh veggies, meats, ready-to-go meals, and charcuterie)
– maintain clean and orderly checkout areas and keep stations organized and sanitized

This position is physically demanding and will require you to be able to stand for long periods of time. You must also be able to lift up to 40lbs.

Skills:
– Proficient in English with strong communication skills
– Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
– Customer service-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
– Organizational skills to manage cash register and handle multiple tasks efficiently
– Familiarity with phone etiquette is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week on average – may be more during holiday seasons

Shifts range from:
4 to 8 hour shift – occasionally longer if requested and agreed to
Morning (open at 8:00am) or Afternoon shift
Closing shift (store closes at 6:30pm)

Work days include:
Monday to Friday
Every Weekend at least one day available
Holidays (store is closed on stat holidays)

Experience:
